ABS-CBN Foundation Program Genio, with the support of various donors, turned over agri-fishery equipment for the Technological-Vocational track of adopted schools in Busuanga, Palawan.
Using the donated equipment, students of the seven schools and Alternative Learning Education learners will be able to apply what they learned from modules or books and apply these learnings to develop practical skills. Eventually, these hands on learning skills can help them get National Certificates from TESDA and, thus, be able to work.
But these equipment aren’t just for the students! Local government officials of Busuanga committed their help in coordinating with the seven schools so that other community members interested in gaining agricultural and fish production and preservation skills may also use the donated equipment. Coordinating with DepEd’s Alternative Learning Education will be done.
It’s a win for the whole community! And it’s a win in the name of empowering Filipinos through quality alternative learning programs!
