👩🏻🏫EDUCATION OPENS DOORS🚪
Financial constraints, peer pressure, and familial responsibilities often stand as significant barriers to students pursuing a career path where they see fit—especially at 📍San Agustin National Trade School (SANTS), located in a far-flung corner of Mahabangbaybay, Romblon, where the nearest college is over an hour away. For these students, this hour represents not just physical distance but also the gap between their dreams and reality—an hour of opportunities and hope that feels out of reach. Despite these challenges, the students of SANTS remain undeterred.✨
On January 8, 2025, the 💙ABS-CBN Foundation Programa Genio stepped in to help by organizing a Career Coaching session for 126 students from Grades 10, 11, and 12, all residing in three barangays: Mahabangbaybay, Cawayan, and Sugod. The session aimed to guide them in choosing career tracks and college programs aligned with their interests and future goals while also emphasizing skills in fishing and food processing as part of their livelihood.
Through interactive group activities and creative exercises, students uncovered their strengths and aspirations. It may have been a small event, but it was a meaningful step toward preparing these young people for the real world. Every effort brings enormous change, and they are proof that hope and action can pave the way to brighter futures.🌈👩🏻🎓👨🏻🎓
