Dani Go, a talented illustrator from the Philippines, is renowned for her artwork that resonates deeply with children, helping them navigate and embrace their emotions and imagination. Her notable creations include “Quarantine Alphabet,” “The World is Hers,” and “The Steadfast Snail.” Her artworks reflect a strong passion for art education, animal welfare, and mental health.
Dani Go’s commitment to her advocacy was exemplified by the viral success of her “Quarantine Alphabet” during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines. This innovative project reimagines the traditional alphabet, with each letter accompanied by words that capture a range of emotions mirrored in the visual design of the letters. Dani shared her inspiration, stating, “I want to encourage children to be more articulate about how they feel.” Her work fosters emotional intelligence and self-expression in young audiences.
In addition to her evocative projects, Dani Go is dedicated to incorporating animals into her artwork, often featuring furry friends alongside her characters. Her recent piece, “Walking to Class,” highlights her belief in the valuable lessons children can learn from caring for their pets, including appropriate interactions and respecting its boundaries. This artwork is part of the Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan Collection of e-cards presented by the ABS-CBN Foundation, supporting the right to education.
