In Calbiga, Samar, what started small grew into something bigger, bringing together three schools united in protecting our mangroves.
This program, created by Seacology and implemented in the Philippines by ABS-CBN Foundation, helps young students learn through activities like basketball, mangrove games, and visits to mangrove sites. Kids learn to care for the environment around them, especially in areas near these important ecosystems. ๐๐ซถ
From Luzon to our first run in the Visayas, we continue to expand our reach, engaging students from Barobaybay, Pasigay, and Rawis Elementary Schools, and planting seeds of care for the environment where it matters most. ๐ฑ
More than just a school event, it became a shared community moment. โจFamilies, teachers, and local residents came to watch and celebrate alongside us, showing that when people gather around a common purpose, meaningful change becomes possible. ๐๐
