The ABS-CBN Foundation marked this year’s global Giving Tuesday with Love Like Gina: A Giving Tuesday Fundraising Dinner held on December 2, 2025. The commemorative event brought together friends, donors, partners, and long-time advocates to honor the legacy of Gina Lopez, ABS-CBN Foundation Founder and Former Chair, while raising support for initiatives that benefit emerging grassroots leaders across the Philippines.
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that encourages people and organizations worldwide to uplift communities through meaningful acts of giving. The Foundation saw this occasion as an opportunity to highlight generosity rooted in sincerity, compassion, and the desire to transform lives — values that reflect the essence of Gina Lopez’s life work.

The program emphasized Lopez’s belief in community-driven development and the importance of empowering grassroots leaders who drive change in education, environment, sustainable livelihood, disaster management, and children’s rights. Supporting these leaders helps create long-term and holistic transformation in communities.

The commemorative dinner became even more meaningful through the heartfelt generosity of donors who offered vacation house stays, designer pieces, and paintings for auction, all given at no cost to the Foundation. The event remained grounded in its purpose, ensuring that every contribution made during the dinner directly supports programs that uplift vulnerable communities and empower grassroots leaders nationwide.
The dinner was thoughtfully prepared by well-known Chef Jessie Sincioco, who offered her craft as an act of generosity and in profound honor of Gina Lopez’s legacy of compassion and service.

Among those who generously supported the event were:
Chef Jessie Sincioco, who prepared the commemorative dinner, expressed, “I admire Gina Lopez and her advocacies, especially her love for the environment and for the underprivileged. Her selflessness and sincere desire to help are unmatched. I am so happy that the ABS-CBN Foundation is continuing her work. I love to support in any way I can.”
ABS-CBN Creative Communications Head, Robert Labayen shared, “I worked with Gina for 10 years. I know her dream for the Filipino people, a dream of abundance for every Filipino family. She believed in ecotourism that benefits farmers and fisherfolk. That is a dream I want to support.”
Designer Lulu Gan Tan, who donated one of her designs for auction, shared, “I have always believed in what Gina Lopez stood for. She was kind and authentic, someone who always did good for others. I am here to support the legacy she started and to support my dear friend Berta, who continues the good work for the ABS-CBN Foundation.”
The evening was a celebration of Lopez’s life and a reminder of the hope and transformation made possible by collective generosity. Guests, donors, partners, and staff reaffirmed their support for the causes Lopez championed and for the communities served by the Foundation.

The funds raised from the event will directly support the ABS-CBN Foundation’s efforts to nurture and empower grassroots leaders poised to become transformative agents in their communities and to carry forward the values and advocacies championed by Gina Lopez.
